Being an editor–author for me is a double-edged sword. I know what my manuscript should look like from an editor's perspective, yet I can get lost in the writing weeds of what I want it to look like. I'm always concerned on how my characters will be received, how their story shapes up in the early stages, and whether I've implemented all the storytelling basics I advise other authors to consider as they draft. Keila's thorough analysis of my early chapters has been a boon to my growth as both a fellow editor and an author in the making. Her passion for well-written and well-paced queer romance comes through in every word of feedback she provided, and I can't wait to incorporate the changes she provided as I continue to draft this labor of love that's taken over my life.
